Class of 2006
Short profile of communication background: At Woodbury, I majored in Communication and minored in Literature. While at Woodbury, I began working at NBC studios in the mailroom, then interned in the Publicity department and also worked in various parts of the studio lot. I also attended workshops given at the Hollywood Film Institute and the Howard Fine Studios on production as well as acting. Meanwhile, I met Marshall Ferguson, who had been an entertainment manager and consultant for over 30 years, and he became a mentor for me. About three months before graduating Woodbury, I started Journey Pictures L.L.C., with my partner, Marshall.
I am partner of a production company I started with long time Entertainment Manager, Marshall Ferguson. Aside from managing administrative paperwork, I work in developing and producing feature films, either with original screenplays or adaptations. We also co-produce with other companies and producers. As producer, I have to evaluate scripts, and piece together various elements that make a feature film come to life. There are several meetings about who to put together creatively to best suite the project, such as directors, actors, cinematographers, all the way down to the type of music you will hear on the soundtrack. Currently, we are about to start production on two original independent feature films and are in development with a major studio for another film that is based on a true story written by a two-time Academy Award Nominated director.
